Welcome Peter Strid
PeopleLinx is excited to welcome Peter Strid to the team as Head of Business Development. He will be working out of the PeopleLinx Philadelphia office. In his role, Peter will be responsible for accelerating the integration of the PeopleLinx platform into some of the world’s biggest brands.
Before landing at PeopleLinx, Peter spent six years as a sales consultant with Trion, a Marsh & McLennan Company. Peter’s focus was selling and delivering Trion’s healthcare consulting strategies and brokerage to organizations across the United States. Prior to Trion, Peter spent six years in the medical device arena with GE Healthcare and Reliant Technologies, where he created and grew net new territories in the New York City market.
To give people a chance to get to know him a little better, Peter has answered a few questions below.
Q&A with Peter Strid
Why did you join PeopleLinx?
After learning what PeopleLinx was providing to big names like Experian, Prudential and others, I quickly realized that their solution was exactly what I had been looking for in my own sales development and portfolio. I was already a regular LinkedIn user and had experienced first hand the benefits of such a service (i.e., closing business as a direct result of leveraging the platform), so joining PeopleLinx was a no brainer; the brand, the service, the organization, the people, all make perfect sense.
What excites you most about social business?
One of the most exciting things I’ve experienced so far is hearing the success stories from sales and marketing pros. We are all on the cusp of a major shift in how business is conducted. PeopleLinx is poised to help businesses and organizations capitalize on the need to optimize and leverage the social business tools in today’s high-speed and competitive corporate environment.
We are creating the lexicon for the SBO software market (Social Business Optimization Software); a blueprint sure to serve as a springboard for generations to come.
What do you like to do for fun?
Last night, my wife and I went out for an impromptu dinner downtown, just the two of us. She is the coolest, funniest person I know – even with the craziness of catering to three young children and working part-time, she still knows how to keep things in perspective. Spending time with her is one of my favorite things to do. When I am not hanging out with my wife and kids, I love to keep myself active by joining competitive sports teams (like lacrosse and basketball), hitting the slopes to ski and taking trips to fly-fish. When I have time to unwind, you’ll find me twisting and bending in a yoga class or painting whatever subject matter is inspiring to me at the time.
Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter?
I love all things Social Business on Twitter, but have a few gems that I like to check in on from time to time; @Rickey24, The fake Rickey Henderson, and @JacksonHole to check the snow depths! And of course, @ColgateLacrosse to check in on my team.
