Welcome Aboard, Linxterns!

Last month we welcomed a new crop of interns for the Summer 2013 season. Our Linxterns (PeopleLINX + InTERN) have had a huge impact on PeopleLinx in just a few weeks. They’ve tackled anything and everything that has a positive impact on the business, from building office chairs to writing white papers.  They’re shaping up to be a standout class, so take this opportunity to get to know and connect with these future leaders.

  • Major or area of interest: History
  • What you do for fun: I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and I work for admissions as a Yale student ambassador.
  • Why is social business important: I believe social business is important because as time goes on, waves of digital natives enter the business world, changing their respective fields and making an impact. The momentum and significance of social business is increasing exponentially and the sooner we understand it, the larger impact we can make.

  • What you do for fun: When I’m not studying, you can find me exploring all of the amazing public attractions in Washington, DC. Whether it’s having a baseball catch on the National Mall or having lunch outside of the White House, I’m always trying to make the most of my time in the District.
  • Why is social business important: Social business is important because while the amount of Facebook and Twitter users are flatlining, LinkedIn continues to grow at a steady rate. A smart company in 2013 needs to align their workforce’s social network profiles and activity with the goals of the organization.
