Introducing Keith Fitzgerald – PeopleLinx’s New CTO
This week, PeopleLinx welcomed Keith Fitzgerald to the team as its new Chief Technology Officer. Keith is a leader in the Philadelphia startup scene and was recently the CTO of TicketLeap, where he was responsible for executing their technology initiatives and developing a scalable platform that clients use to showcase and drive ticket sales for their live events. His experience at TicketLeap and his deep passion for social technologies makes him a perfect fit for PeopleLinx.
The “always-on” nature of his role as CTO here at PeopleLinx requires that he’s already rolled up his sleeves and dug into the work, but I was able to capture a few minutes of his time to get his thoughts on joining the PeopleLinx team.
Q&A with Keith Fitzgerald
Why did you join the PeopleLinx team?
From the moment I met Nathan, Patrick, and Kevin, I knew this was a team I wanted to be a part of. They have vision, passion, and are genuinely excited about everything they do each day. It’s clear that PeopleLinx is on the cusp of becoming a very big business and I am thrilled to be a part of it.
Why is social business important?
Companies recognize that their employees are already using social networks to connect, communicate, and share information on a day-to-day basis. The difficulty has been tapping into social business in way that adds measureable and consistent value to the organization and its individual employees.
What do you hope to accomplish at PeopleLinx?
Build an amazing team and culture focused on shipping the absolute best social business platform. The first piece of this equation is key, since great technology is built by great
people. I plan to leverage my experience and the solid relationships that I’ve built in the Philadelphia tech community over the last several years to attract top talent to the PeopleLinx development team. We’ll be laser-focused on architecting a social business solution for the enterprise that prioritizes security and scalability, and is flexible enough to adapt to the evolving needs of our clients. We’re going to establish PeopleLinx as a leader not just in social business, but in technology at large.
When you’re not at work, what do you do for fun?
Hang out with my family and try to learn new things whenever and wherever I can. I got into triathlon last year and I really enjoy the sport. I will be competing in the 2013 Lake Placid Ironman. I put in a ton of effort during the offseason, so I’m hoping to put up some good numbers this year!
